Where Creativity Blooms All Summer Long!


General Info:

  • Ages: 6 years – 12 years 

  • Time: Monday–Friday , 9:30 AM–3:00 PM

  • Location: McKinney Art House @ 501 N Tennessee St Mckinney

  • Price: $350 per camp

  • Small groups: Only 9 spots per week

  • All supplies included!

     

    Daily Flow

    • 9:30–9:50 → Arrival + sketchbook warm-ups

    • 9:50–11:15 → Main project

    • 11:15–11:30 → Snack + outdoor break

    • 11:30–12:30 → Secondary project / rotation

    • 12:30–1:00 → Lunch

    • 1:00–2:15 → Creative choice stations

    • 2:15–3:00 → Reflection, clean-up, free draw

    What to Bring

    • Snack & lunch (we don’t provide food due to dietary needs)

    • Water bottle

    • Sunscreen

    • Towel + water-friendly clothes/sandals (we sometimes play outside with water for fun breaks!)

    • Dedicated “art shirt” — we may get messy 

    • bag or backpack to store belongings.

Pick  Art medium of your choice and select the camps from the options  below. From "Painting and Drawing" to "Hands on Art" including metal smithing, leather craft, hand building ,  to  "Ceramics", "Sculpture",  "Watercolors" , "Calligraphy", and beyond, participants have the opportunity to explore  and pick from a variety of artistic disciplines and discover what resonates with them most.

  1. Quality Instruction. We are an art collective with a community of artists, many award winning with several decades of experience in arts who can provide high-quality instruction in various artistic mediums and techniques. Participants benefit from the expertise and guidance of these instructors as they explore their creativity, develop their skills while having fun. McKinney Art House, now part of bigger McKinney Art Village have been running Art classes and Art camps for 19 years in downtown McKinney with contributions from wide range of Artists. Diverse Programming: Art camps at the McKinney Art House offers a diverse range of art programs and activities from full day camps, half day camps to targeted special skill 2 day workshops, We have camps across 7 different Art studios throughout the summer providing diverse camp experience catering to different ages, interests, and skill levels. From "Painting and Drawing" to "Hands on Art" including metal smithing, leather craft, hand building ,  to  "Ceramics", "Sculpture",  "Watercolors" , "Calligraphy", and beyond, participants have the opportunity to explore  and pick from a variety of artistic disciplines and discover what resonates with them most.

  3. Small Class Sizes: Art camps at the McKinney Art House   prioritizes  small class sizes  to ensure individualized attention and support for each participant. Smaller groups allow Artists to tailor instruction to the needs and interests of participants, fostering a more personalized and engaging learning experience. 

  4. Creative Environment: The McKinney Art House  provides a welcoming and inspiring environment where participants feel encouraged to express themselves creatively. The physical space, studio setups, and artistic atmosphere in this Historic building contribute to a positive and conducive learning environment where participants can feel comfortable exploring their creativity and have fun.

  5. Community Engagement: Art camps at the McKinney Art House  foster a sense of community among participants, instructors, and  supporting voluteers. All of your camp payments go directly to individual artists providing opportunity to both local artists as well as community to benefit from it..  Art Camp is a wonderful opportunity for your young artist to try something new -Hands-on Art,  Drawing & Painting, Pottery Wheel & Clay, Mixed Media, Acrylic, Arts & Crafts, Watercolor, LeatherCrafts, Metal works, Pencil art and more!  

In addition to weekly classes, we host seasonal art camps, creative workshops, and special events throughout the year. These include summer camps, school-break programs, birthday art parties, date nights, and community art experiences.

Our camps and workshops allow students to dive deeper into projects while enjoying a fun, social creative space.
